Being Real

Being real.

In Bartholomew's book “I come as a Brother” is raised the question:

"As love is our true nature, can it be that we have already experienced it, but misidentified it?"

It is intentionally a question that illumines its own answer. We are already experiencing our True Nature - but are actively misidentifying.

The nature of our capacity to misidentify is something that we automatically tend to keep hidden - and would seem to us to be normal survival activity. But no matter how we try to protect our 'self', we are constantly meeting conditions that we feel unsafe in, struggle in and defend ourselves against. We tend to want a 'miracle' to enable our defences to prevail, rather than to illuminate a Greater Safety that our defences have hidden from view.

Outside of or apart from such a connected feeling and relational appreciation of life - is a ‘manually operated existence’ that rides upon utter dependence on life - and yet presents itself as much - and for as long as it can - as an independence of will. And may even attempt to die in clinging to this will rather than surrender into a Greater Life than its 'own'.

Being unreal is an imaginative exercise - yet one that is fleshed out in the full gamut of human experience - and suffered as if it happens at the will or direction of an Other.

Where is the answer to an imaginary but really-experienced problem of a struggling conflicted self to be found but in its arising?

In this sense I feel that being real - in terms of our human existence - is of listening within and without at the same time - as our ongoing honesty of being. It is the desisting from, and the undoing of, a 'mind' that distracts its attention by externalising everything and interpreting it in terms of division and control.

This is NOT our true mind or true nature - and the wish for it must be uncovered and seen directly for what it is - BEFORE it is used as a basis for perception, conception and identification. Because once we 'take the ride' we experience everything awry.

At the prospect of looking within, at our own thought - rather than through its lens, we may fear that we will uncover our own damnation - that is - our own rejection. We may feel 'safer' at least temporarily to see what we reject or hate - projected as if outside ourselves.


When writing something recently of the Call of our times for a true and grounded Sanity, I looked up the list of attributes that a ‘teacher of God’ must acquire in the Manual of A Course in Miracles, and found that trust was placed first, with all others following on. I had thought that honesty was going to be first - but that is because I personally now have that initial trust and presumed it of my brothers when it may not always yet be so.

Trust ...
Once that has been achieved, the others cannot fail to follow.
Only the trusting can afford honesty, for only they can see its value.

There then follows a greater exposition of honesty than our surface notions of telling the truth; of honesty as congruency and consistency of desire, thought and deed.

I came to such an active trust as a result of experiencing of a kind of paralysis from its opposite. That is - from the exposure of the nature of the 'mind' or 'self' to a Prior Awareness. It could be said that at its most fundamental level, it ran out of time - of support - of allegiance - of meaning. It was replaced - not in time, but before time, with a Gift. A 'Yes" that replaces the "no". The “no” being the stringing together of the refusal of Life in 'mutual agreements' - which makes the experience of  'life' that an unconscious denial gives makes real.

Synchronous with timelessness is all that we experience 'in time' as a linear construct of events. Unfinished 'business' in time will not allow the eternal embrace of a loving communion in peace - for the energetic habits of refusal express as a will to make reality for oneself - that in turn creates and maintains a sense of lack, limitation - and a need to 'manage' a life within such a drama of self.

But with the Gift of trust offered to our being - there is now a clear sense of dissonance in using "no" as a means of getting - and feels continuing the old pattern to be anathema. Se find that in the willingness and the prompt of NOT USING our "no" - we become the receptive space in which and through which a "Yes" activates by no power or virtue of our own thinking.

And so in time and over time, we uncover that the "Yes" is our true Mind and Nature - not to be wielded or used in or by the 'old patternings of mind' - but is itself preparing and ‘making straight the way’ of Its Own Dawning.

For God 'takes the last step' - that is - The Movement of Being Is freely and fully welcomed in a like Spirit.

The essential shift is a reversal of identity. Not a linear reversal in time - but of an upside down and inside out-ness, released as the core or basis of existence itself.

What does this mean in the love that you are - and share?
This question and its discovery is the life that replaced the life expressed by the old question, "what does this mean in the world for me".

When changes of a fundamental nature are unfolding to us - we are actively called to bring attention present. Which is to release it of its habitual routines or wanderings. Alignment with our True nature will open a joyous pathway - which itself is foundational to the new life. But the "no" of persisting in our own sense of command and control - will increasingly bring us out of accord with everything- and we suffer to be dragged kicking and screaming into a Life in which we have yet to find our true Foundation.

But Truth is of Itself and must be simply available to a willingness to receive - in Its terms. It is humanly a matter of willingness.

The Gift, which replaces what we thought to place upon the altar of our heart, is the Holy Spirit. Our Holy Spirit.

None can accept this for themselves alone - for its acceptance is the absence of any thought of separation from Love.

What is love but the willingness and capacity to overlook everything that does not matter and attend fully to that which does? Of a unified will, and in a unified appreciation.

The 'mind' must become the opportunity for release and forgiveness - in place of the re-enactment of the separation. Even as it seems to be acted out.

Great fears call on great willingness. It is true that in joining is strength - but pause to feel and know that our joining is first of a wholeness within - or we give strength to the mind of lack and weaken our capacity to hear the Guide and feel the Support and Surety of Being.

WE must trust beyond the 'reality' of our outer senses and turn within them back towards their source - or ‘being real’ will simply mean struggling and dying a life of empty and failing promises.

All has its true root in You, Whole. But the sense of oneself gained in the world, seems to be a 'separated' or independent 'whole' - over and against others of a like separateness. The mind in the world has an impossible task, but its loyalty to your will is unswerving. Awakening to your own will is the release of using story as a mask for a secret will. If you cannot ask for it in the Light - let it go as something that keeps you in the dark. You can ask for what is in your heart in Light, and the truth of what is moving in you will be revealed to your honesty. Truth is Lovely because it is congruent, whole and without conflicting parts. The Holy Spirit discerns us truly - because Holiness cannot 'leave truth' to play in 'stories'.

Our Holy Spirit is our bridge from an unreality to a true sanity, because in Holy Spirit we are revealed and healed of a suggestion that seems to split our mind - and project its split ... as the world.

What would the world be to a healed and unified heart and mind?

Please show me the way for such is my desire.

PS: Holy Spirit as a term for a Function of Teacher, Guide and Revealer is Universally inclusive of all agencies of help through the events, relationships, teachings, promptings and intuitive openings of our life. An Intimacy free of any constraints or definitions the mind or world might put upon them - and by our willingness, using all things to guide us to release a misidentification by which we suffer.

Seeing self-illusion opens the mind to truth

In any instant that any mind opens to and accepts truth - the force of identification with self illusion is weakened and the awakening is strengthened. I see this as going on in all ways and always - and through whatever agencies serve maximally. But truth has absolutely nothing to do with any conceptual or symbolic truths that we might associate with it and identify with.

As I recognise and accept that awakening is the most important 'work' or purpose to which I can bring to attention in active desire, I am brought to notice more and more of the ways in which I actively maintain the ego mentality - for apart from such allegiance from me, it has no life of its own. I also find these are 'shared' collusions and I practice not joining in the 'mind that limits' in the moment of awareness.

The form in which that takes does not ultimately matter. It may seem to be doing nothing. It may seem to be challenging accepted modes of behaviour and thought - and thus interpreted fearfully by that which identifies exclusively with form. All I know is that if I do not act in line with the guidance for truth - I lose the awareness and appreciation of communion - period.

This doesn't make me infallible in any way - it simply means I am exercising trust as a disciple of truth - and in willingness to learn. It is for each of us to listen in our heart - where we have a direct relationship with God that no one and nothing can ever substitute for.

The Second Coming is not only coming - it is coming through now. In a sense this is the inherent truth of every miracle and all the work of the Awakening since first the mind seemed to split from itself. But in a specific sense to our times is an urgency of the call to awaken - not merely to ideas and teachings and understandings - but to recognise in truth that we 'split' our mind to serve wishful thinking and then hide in darkness and confusion. This is the act by which we 'live' a seeming separate struggling existence.

The 'life' that the ego-sense dictates - is tragically pathetic - barely a trickle of Life allowed or shared.


Communication and trust are of the same root - for without trust communication is simply a battle of private wills - and without communication, trust remains a potential unmanifest and without tangibility.

When we think we know - we do not stop and listen. We can ride roughshod over the delicate first steps of the desire to know and be known - simply because we interpret through a sacrosanct set of understandings that we blindly presume true.

I have noticed this in myself many times - and see that spiritual blindness is part of the territory to be undone - just as is any other self-concept that substitutes for love's Presence Shared.

All things serve the purpose of awakening - if that is our active desire.
When it is accepted as our only desire, truth's awakening will be the simply obvious.

But the force and habit of identification with the ego is not of a kind that can be recognised and undone without Divine, Awakened, Help. For what seems obvious to the ego perspective is delusional - and for love's Teacher to find any welcome or attention free for awakening is the gift of love's acknowledgement that we give by receiving.

Giving and receiving is the way our true will IS done.
But when we seek to get or give to get - there is no real gift. Where nothing real is shared, unreality can seem to be anything - and shift at anytime. There is no basis for trust within the getting mind.

To open trust we must lay down or weapons and shields in desire for knowing truth.

Live from the Knowing

Dear Brother and Sister in Life, please share your knowing.

If you use thought or deed to clothe the knowing in terms that CAN be understood, then with the grace of true desire, will the meaning be shared and the thoughts themselves be but the messengers.

To listen, while leaning and trusting into sharing that which moves within, is to bring the forms of communication into the context of an actual relationship.

To know relationship is not a concept - nor mere think-based representation of 'a relationship' - but is love. We feel each other in living communication.

Salvation is a collaborative venture. Relating with each other risks into both the dance and the messiness of involvement. Perfect answers - at the level of form - can be used to justify the avoiding of relationship. That is not awakeng to truth.

The tendency to think instead of listen and feel - is the liability of a mind to remain disconnected from Mind - from its interrelatedness and thus from anything real.

To venture to live from the 'knowing' is a radical shift of identity. Instead of living as the problem - live as the answer. Not the answer that solves the problem - but the answer that is priorly and presently free of problem.

Leaning to walk takes practice - at first there can be stumbles and knocks - but because there is a consistent desire and motivation, walking becomes a natural accomplishment of one’s being. Living from trust is only to be discovered by practice. Others may not see or recognize - and can try to 'kindly' bring you back to the crab barrel. But learning to listen to the Voice and Perspective within, is made tangible and clear by persisting regardless of the liability to distraction and doubt.

Indeed the opportunity of temptation will serve to uncover one's own mind in error - so as can be corrected by listening to truth where before I thought I saw meaning in the meaningless.

Thought for the salvation of Love's Son

If you can see the ego writ large in the world of man - then maybe you are ready to let go of it being out there - or in your head.

But rather to see it in one mind.

What we choose to validate as experience - (of what we receive as thought and perception) - and what we thus choose to share into one mind - is a responsibility that cannot be escaped. Any more than Mind can be escaped.

The attempt to escape is expressed as 'the world and self' that we presume and trade, in separated (escaped) mode.
In true vision there can be nothing we would WANT to escape.

The mind of sin and guilt, is attack. The attack of mind on itself is excruciating - and expresses as every kind of pain of suffering, loss of love, and limitation through fear.
But mind cannot attack itself without first believing itself separate and in a head in a body in a time and place. Nor could it believe this without the wish to believe itself so.

If your thinking says - "well its all a game then!" - that may be so - BUT - one still suffers within the rules that have set up the game UNTIL the game is truly released. So the thought "it's all a game", is not the realisation - but is simply playing the same game some more.

Nothing can be released unless it is first recognised as being active. Nor can an act of self-will be released by an act of self-will.

To know again the mind of sin that you would keep hidden - so as to be undone of it - requires honesty and trust.
Love of truth has no ulterior motive or agenda. It does not seek to dissociate and displace - or get rid of itself. Love of truth rejoices in being one with - and this automatically extends because - whatever is the basis of your sense of value is the foundation of all that is seen.

In the mind of sin is a false Cause accepted and it is the cause of Fatherlessness or Sourcelessness. To see anything or anyone in such a false 'light' is to overlook the Wholeness that Gives all the Meaning that is present.
All that is needful to reverse the shift into the false is to give priority to the true - in the calm recognition that truth is not made or defined or analyzed into existence - but is one with and expresses through real relationship.

Cherish real relationships in any and every moment of noticing. Awareness grows as it is acknowledged.
The mind of war is literally trying to hide and kill itself; both.
Our own part in such an un-sane thought is undone in our accepting love in place of fear; awareness in place of thinking and perception.

Whatever the script of the 'world',  it is interfaced and part of our own contribution.
So if a brother demands you masked - then he will mask you - for his will is done.
But if you awaken from the masks and roles of the script - you can let love use it as it will.
"Thy Will Be done".
This is the releasing of self-will for the grace and beauty and innocence of truth.
Jesus didn't suffer for us - but witnesses to life eternal - even from amidst the 'experience of suffering' - where we even so may wake to realise Truth and not be dictated by ignorance.
Focus only on suffering enough to break the spell of hiding. Then look beyond to the Light - where new vision is offered BECAUSE you released the old.


I wrote this in trust to convey some sketch or sense of a dimension to which the world is blind - and wilfully so. Yet you who read here are not the world - but are stirred and quickened in love.

A Dance of Trust

It isn't necessary to communicate, explain or justify all the aspects of a situation of difference with another. In forgiveness, the gift of release is accepted and shared. Or rather the natural state of a heart and mind at one is restored. True forgiveness is an act of self-honesty and not a damning act of moral superiority or negation of self to some self-validating ideal. The human mind is habituated to re-enact its history over and over again – and to 'see' everything in terms of it's past 'knowledge' and thus react from self certainties that recreate the very conditions of the past upon the present and into the future.

The conditions of relationship are a dance of trust. The trust we have within our own heart and mind is one with the trust we have with our brother – and with our world. Effective communication has to begin from a place of trust – or else it is merely an expression of judgement put upon the other dressed in the form of relating.

The only way that humanity grows beyond its self sabotaging program, is in the practicing and sharing of trust. Defendedness does not embody trust - but communicates judgement and exclusion, tending to bring a like reaction from the other.

In the willingness to see beyond the presentation, and recognise ourself in the other, we can relate to another with an undefended kindness that is simply acceptance and appreciation. They may not trust or accept this immediately - but they will feel the difference at some level - and the one who extends welcome experiences the same within themselves - rather than a sense of reaction and defence or competition.

Come follow me. Let the dead bury the dead

The ego is not going to live forever - nor is it going to die.
The ego has no life but what you give it.
You give it.
It has no life.
The limited personal sense is a veil that sees all things only as if they are in relation to it - for its purposes.
The intimately personal sense is selfless, impersonal and totally loving.

When I was a boy I sometimes had a strong sense that I would never die - but the consciousness that is expressed in time and space interprets this as if it means it alone is surviving - perhaps along with other 'it alone's.

The memory of Heaven is strong in the very young - but is mostly used as fully charged batteries in support of another prodigal journey.

Survival is the preoccupation of the thoughts of the threatened.
"No need to survive" - does not mean allowing or inviting death, it just means that in the Nowness of the Fullness of Being, there is no one to survive and no threat to survive from.

The Flow is without exception or interruption or conflict. The Flow Knows you because it is you - and it Knows you Always now.
The thought of separation or difference is a building block of getting an experience that is separate and different. This will 'die' because it isn't truly occurring - except as a split experience of the Infinite.

It is in this split mind that we experience ourselves fearfully. Fear densifies light such that it becomes opaque and solid to the mind in fear. It becomes a - more or less - comfortable prison - to keep life out!

The eternal and infinite directness of being does not support or validate the wish to experience privately - except as a thought that makes no sense - has no meaning - negates the mind that thinks it. Another way of saying this is - no man can look on God and live. Not because God kills - but because the Infinite Light is - and man is not.

To a mind yet intent with its private will as if it were life - nothing can be more terrifying than eternal life. Death is salvation to such a mind for it saves it from its own utter undoing and allows a darkness in which it can re-seed itself.
Yet eternal life is the Only Life.


There's a game going on here - and its played seriously.
If you decided to treat the ball in a game of sport - whilst the game is on - as if it were just a ball - you would have to deal with the other players - and spectators! But in the game of limitation - every interruption is woven into or read as part of the game.

Jesus demonstrated eternal life and - he was 'made' into an eternal sacrifice by the serious game players. But it is also true that every interruption to the game lets light in - and when the game is no longer worth the candle - it is released for the greater light.

To a personal perspective in the world, death is the loss and negation of life. Humans try to make themselves deathless in making their mark, leaving legacies, and of course children.Andr of course they can preempt reality to prove their will by dying before 'nothingness' takes them.

Every loving thought is true. Truth is eternal. Our loving thoughts are the reflections of truth. They are also our real life. The unloving thoughts are a bit like a kaleidoscope that obscures and distorts the light and life - they are not something in themselves - except you thought you saw yourself there and became entranced.

The light of loving thought is also the light of guidance and the illumination of the mind in Mind. In light, the loving can be discerned and brought forth as the unloving is revealed as un-sane and unwanted.
You are loving thought and the proof is this : You do not create your self.
In this recognition is also the nothingness of the self you had thought to make from out of a sense of loss of identity.
In the release of persisting of 'self-making is known the stillness that speaks without form - yet your guidance understands and give it form - while form is helpful to you.

You cannot make love 'on your own'. You have to abandon such fixity to embrace love.
Love comes to you through forms that you can love and understand - and as you accept light, light grows within.

Growing an understanding is helpful to allay terror and grow trust - but as an investment it has to be abandoned for new life to be embraced.
Jesus - Raj said that if he had seen his mother - as his mother - when on the cross - then he would have died like any other man.
If you would taste not death you must let 'die' the illusion that you know what anything - or anyone - is. Now can you see why so very few take the path of living love? There is absolutely nothing in it to gain from an independent perspective. But it is simply to rest in truth.

Who is it that is called? Those who have looked on their nothingness - and found acceptance, given their heart, to live from. None 'else' can hear!
A different purpose seeds the mind - that transcends and replaces the urge to survive by any and every means. A love of Truth awakened.

Life 'begins' here - in recognition that the dream is a dream. Yet light of awareness is, that is not the dream - and is acknowledged and therefore restored to you - as you can accept; as you can share.
The interruption of the 'life' I thought was 'as I thought' - is grace.

The way that I have come to value - is a way of acceptance. Everything is just as it is. I don't mean that it just is as I or we, think it is - but that even what we think it is, is part of the way it is. The only alternative is self efforting - the bootstrap pull - the carrot and the stick. The fantasy of fighting reality.

Relaxing must be itself uncomplicated - but see the program running that distracts and can put the simple practice on indefinite hold! As if some conflicted sense must first be resolved. Yet the peace comes first in acceptance of 'as is', without judgement. Now the guidance of innate intelligence can flow true, and allows and enables appropriate and proportionate relationship to express in thought and in deed.

Stillness speaks ... and knows its movement as Itself.

Awakening is indeed wholly Good News

The recognition of 'not peace' or 'not fulfilment' or 'not connected within' - is by the grace of awareness - so to acknowledge such a state - is to have paused and listened - and is not in itself judgement against self or other.

The momentum of the thinking mind - or 'story mind' - in ignorance - can use the glimpse as yet more fuel for its story of self. It says: "I lack, am inadequate, or am deprived of my good". If you elect that this voice speaks for you - then you stay within 'your story', asleep.

But to let the present realisation of felt dissonance be allowed, as a trigger for the further influx of awareness, is to trust into relational silence - beyond the range of the 'story mind'. This practice will - in effect - open the presumption of a prior communion as the lens of your experience, in which the 'story mind' takes on a different purpose; namely that of using experience to teach, reflect and extend only that which moves alive within - and through - all that is.

In this, the realm of experience may be enjoyed without identification with the story - as the revelator of the light and truth that is itself beyond experience - yet one with being.

But as we choose again to ascribe parts of experience more or less value or reality - we will again re enact the script of separation and forget who and what we are in Truth. To enjoy without introducing the separation is to be enjoyment itself - empty or innocent of self strategy - sharing the 'Kingdom' with the 'Kingdom'.

This ‘sharing’ is the original 'language' of oneness - because it has not believed itself to have left the mind of God - and then used that story - as a lens of its own self exploration.

The original remains truly the only language of communication and bleeds through, despite the script that interprets all things to promote and protect a falsely identified self. Yet the original cannot altogether be lost because it remains part of what you are, no matter how the mind is used.

Touch on what is realised to be truly unwanted - only - to awaken - to be renewed as - the movement of true desire - that is given you by virtue of Being, itself . This is allowed in, by your disregarding all of what the ‘my story mind’ has taught, (through experience, as memory) - by not using it!

Awakening is indeed wholly Good News.



Postscript:

It is indeed a fools errand to seek for the good, the beautiful and the true in merely external terms. However, the folly is to be discovered within your own experience - and therefore simply undone by the wisdom that replaces it - if you will. Giving to God is a way of not claiming for yourself alone. It doesn't deprive one of pleasure - but locates the true context of pleasure - AND - works to undermine the habit of self deprivation that the illusion of private gain always facilitates.

Be fixed on truth in the heart - God Is - and be wary of missing the mark - sin. The 'death' that sin entails seems provable because it is repeatable - but only for as long as you are willing to prove it to yourself by repeating care-less or love-less behaviour of thought and attention. And the signs of guilt are always the sign that this remains unrecognised and uncorrected on oneself - wherever the guilt or dis-ease seems to manifest.

Surrender thought and listen now

The willingness to surrender thought and listen now – is surely within us – or we would not meet here.
(Or indeed really meet anything directly but our own thinking).

I can sometime feel this as the truth floating of itself to its own awareness.

Like as if all the stuff that seems to keep truth denied has to work against the natural buoyancy of the heart.

Miracles are the unselfconscious expression of a conscious willingness.
I haven't felt that I need or should become anything – for that seems to be the idea that made suffering.
So I release as I feel able and willing – which is to say as awakeness offers to my acceptance.

The false cannot be a foundation or a real cause so I don't have to do anything about it - but the desire to see it as my own cause or foundation and proceed to identify all things accordingly, is the sticky point where I will follow the guidance of the false.

But if I try to force myself to surrender I will feel deprived, so, in some ways I feel to be consciously tolerant of that I yet choose to act in story rather than truth. The consciousness is the level of willingness freely available and gives a very different experience than becoming eaten by illusion.

Allowing unjudgemental awareness into the arenas of resistance is a release of Thou Shalt Not! - yet is in some way holding relationship with spirit in a way that reminds me of Joni Mitchell singing – Will you take me as I am?”. Ego loves this sort of thinking as it can feel ‘allowed’ to indulge – but that isn't what I am saying – for the context that makes the difference is the desire and willingness to grow in self trust.

Meeting the self-death in all sorts of ways – is meeting and embracing all the places in me where I would give up – run – hide – go insane – fail – die. The unforgivable or intolerable.

They don't need to be dramatized – for drama is a way to keep from letting peace be. But they are like the coastline where I end and the unknown begins. The threshold where the Eternal wakens to itself as the 'more of me' than what I thought to be.

The self-death is story. Without my story I am in cold turkey – in bleaker street – in desert of abandonment. But this is of the initial illusion of loss that I believed real and sought to protect against – and thus made real to my own mind. It gets re-enacted over and over but also gets hidden so as to not be recognisable.

So comes the time when I’m done with the desire to come from this place of self protection – even though the habit is sometimes strong. There’s a different call in my mind and there’s a different response.

I thought today about things I do which have no justifications or basis in the mind that measures – and how part of my work is to keep alive the path by which I can enjoy the freedom of giving – and not let the measuring mind undermine it.

And then I thought ‘what becomes of it?’ and immediately felt that the capacity to be in the joy of freely giving is growing in me and this is what I teach myself and any I meet in the giving. If they find joy then they will be drawn likewise – even if at first they seem blind to the light and only grasp at forms.

The belief that there is something I have to do or undo in the future – in some other moment is a distraction from enjoying the Holy Spirit light in all things now.

Cataclysm, prophecies and signs of doom at the end of days

The more the world appears to ‘fall apart’ the more I am called to rest in peace ; to open my heart to the flowing moment in trust and make my home in its presence.
This does of course embrace the world – but not as it is portrayed by the mind of the separated self sense – but as the movement of the fulfilment of God.
This I would learn to discern and accept as the Abundance of Truth – in which all the qualities of Truth are beheld in gratitude, glory, wonder and delight, recognition and awe.

This may seem impossible to believe – yet I tell you the world you see is impossible. But the very light of awareness remains as it is – and not other than as it is – no matter what thoughts are engaged.

To look out and interpret anything from a separate self sense is an illusory insanity – no matter how many seem to share the will to do so.
That we have done this may be a habit hard to shed, but the value of a redeemed and restored heart and mind cannot be overstated – for by the use to which you accept for the gift of life, will you know Creation – as its Son or Daughter -or suffer your own illusion – as a mad and tormented secret thing.

Reality is altogether now. Time is altogether not here.
Holiness is altogether true. The mind of sin is not now.
As we sow – or give, so shall we receive – or reap.
This is true Now and need relate not at all to a past or future.
Herein lies the open secret of salvation.

All that you are receiving is the same measure and kind as what you choose to give.
It does not seem to be that you can choose because the past seems joined to the future.
But you are here, now with me and no matter how thoughts and feelings may swarm or charm or seem to harm – the power of decision is your own.

To look on stark insanity may be the recognition that you are looking in entirely the wrong direction. All things serve the mind that loves truth – and the truth in every mind is such a love.

Blow the embers of truth that it grows and glows.
In such a light will you see aright.

Allowing the heart expression in the day at hand

How is it that I write and you read – and a gift is shared?

I can look into my own heart with regard to what is revealing itself to me.

Perhaps I should say ‘I can look into the heart’ because I speak not of the broken or wounded heart that seems to be within the human drama – but the heart that simply knows, sees, intuits or discerns – whenever we are still enough and curious enough to ask of it - and trust what is uncovered.


If I listen and discern in the heart instead of recycling old judgements and reactions - I find sense of something alive and feel a movement within.
It’s like - just noticing something – in a present sort of way - and acting unselfconsciously from a natural impulse that arises from within it.

Such impulses are opportunities for gladness and they also can be easily overlooked and become unnoticed and ‘unconscious’ while we are otherwise engaged in following what we think we should be doing according to some stratagem or other that became complicated instead of actually fulfilling us.

So in between thinking about anything I write - do also simply look into your own heart with regard to what is revealing itself to you!
